Ulster Schools Support MITRE.

Ulster Rugby Captain, Simon Best lent his support to the pupils of Sullivan Upper as they helped raise money for Ulster's official charity, MITRE. (L-R Simon Best, Michael Warnock, Andrew McNeice, Andrew Crone, and Emily Morrow)
MITRE is a hospital-based charity, raising funds to develop patient services at Musgrave Park Hospital, the regional provider of specialist orthopaedic and rehabilitation services. The MITRE charity is a great fit with Ulster Rugby's profile, which has close links to rehabilitation and sports related spinal injuries.
Ulster Rugby / MITRE wristbands were specially commissioned to raise awareness of the charity among players, fans, sponsors and the wider community. The wristbands are available to buy at all Ulster Rugby outlets.
Simon Best, Ulster Rugby captain commented,
“ Ulster Rugby is delighted that schools are getting involved and raising awareness of this important charity. Young fans are helping Ulster Rugby to help MITRE, that counts for a lot. It's particularly important to former Rugby players living with spinal injury, who have benefited from MITRE's work at Musgrave Park Hospital.”
The pupils of Sullivan Upper plan to do their bit for MITRE again this weekend as they hold a bucket collection at the Ravenhill rugby grounds, during Ulster's Heineken Cup match against Benetton Treviso from Italy.
