Ballycastle Firefighters Raise £2,020 for MITRE
Ballycastle Fire Service recently raised over £2000 for MITRE in aid of former Assistant District Commander, Tony Brennan who was injured while fighting a fire last year.

MITRE would like to thank all involved in their fundraising. Your contributions continue to develop patient services and help make Musgrave Better!


Mother and Daughter Duo Support MITRE

Newry based Mother and Daughter duo Eileen and Michaela Kernan raised over £700 for MITRE by running the Flora Women's Mini Marathon around Dublin City Centre in June 2005.
Eileen commented:
" This donation to MITRE is a token of our appreciation to the staff of Musgrave Park Hospital. The treatment and services my brother Aidan receives throughout his rehabilitation could not have been better. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, on both sides of the border, who supported Michaela and myself with their kind contributions."
Dr. Malcolm Crone, MITRE Secretary said,
"We wish to thank Eileen and her daughter for their contribution and fundraising effort. Every donation goes along way towards reaching our target and helps us with our aim of making Musgrave better for patients"
Bombardier Team run Belfast Marathon for MITRE

Robert Lamont and his daughters Chloe (Left) and Grace (Right) recently presented MITRE PR Assistant, Helen Smyth with a cheque for £1,000.
Robert and four of his colleagues at Bombardier Aerospace raised the money when they participated in the Belfast Marathon in May 2005.
A big thank you to Robert and the Bombardier marathon team for helping MITRE develop patient services at Musgrave Park Hospital.
Gabrielle Mallon raises £3,000 for MITRE

Thanks to Gabrielle Mallon from County Armagh who donated £3,000. Acknowledgement must go to Armagh Football Club, Gaelic Club and Powerscreen International who each fundraised £1,000 to help make up this fantastic total!

On the 22nd December 2005, Ilizarov patient, John Devlin and friends raised £180 during a pub quiz in his home town of Portferry. John's pub 'Fiddler's Green' was the venue and by all accounts, a smashing time was had by everyone who supported the night.
Physiotherapist Aidan Rooney raises £2,000 in the NYC Marathon

Aidan, with much encouragement from his collegues and friends completed the New York City Marathon in November 2005. His family also raised money at a quiz night in their home town of Roslea, County Fermanagh.
Thanks go to the Rooney family and to Aidan in particular, for all his hard work and to all those who lent their support and encouragement.
