Patricia O'Callaghan is the Director of Head and Skeletal Services within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust

Patricia comes from a nursing background and after completing General Nurse Training at Musgrave Park Hospital and the Belfast City Hospital; her first staffing post was in the Accident and Emergency Department and Fracture and Orthopaedic clinics at the Mater Hospital.  For a number of years she worked abroad in Israel, Saudi Arabia, United States and Australia.  Patricia returned to Northern Ireland in 1990 and joined staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital working in fractures, outpatients and the surgical directorate.  In 1999 she was appointed as General Manager of the Orthopaedic Directorate at Musgrave Park Hospital and in 2003 Director of Nursing and Clinical Effectiveness at Green Park Healthcare Trust.

Patricia holds postgraduate qualifications in Orthopaedic Nursing, Accident and Emergency Nursing, Social Welfare Law, Applied Ethics, Capital Planning and Commissioning of Clinical Facilities and a Masters in Business Administration with a Health and Social Services Specialism.
