13 September 08 Chosen Charity of the Year 2008-9... The Mitre May Ball... |
|

The MITRE Trust is a charity based at Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast. It aims to raise money to improve patient services and to fund new developments at Musgrave, the regional centre for orthopaedics and rehabilitation in Northern Ireland.
It was set up by a group of Consultants at Musgrave Park Hospital along with several local businessmen in 1991. Since its beginning it has helped to raise over £8 million to improve the hospital buildings and provide state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for patients.
The Trust is an ongoing and never ending process of bettering the facilities of Musgrave Park Hospital for the people of Northern Ireland. Constant support is also needed. We look upon MITRE as one huge project, which is not individual to any one funding plan.
The MITRE Committee is made up of hospital staff, the business community and the general public who come together to fundraise.
